What was your experience with BDSM in the past?
Since I can remember, I have had fantasies that were not normal and weren't the usual sex. After I graduated college, I read The Story of O. I started to think more realistically about my desires. I had a few dangerous Craigslist hookups and then I became involved in the San Francisco BDSM scene. I just kept going. Once I realized that this was something I could do, I was hooked! This is why people love this type of sex. It's not boring and it's awesome.
Which part of BDSM do you enjoy the most and what lifestyle do they inspire?
It's the mental aspect. I see BDSM and leather as a code of ethics and a religion. It is something I take seriously. Submission and being a submissive are part of me just as queer and femme are part of mine. I am a businesswoman, an entrepreneur, and a workaholic. So when I have the chance to be in subspace and let it all out and submit and not have to worry so much about columns and podcasts, that's Heaven.
What are you most excited about today?
I am just looking forward to it all. This is a lifestyle I like. You don't have the chance to live in a huge, cool set with all the toys and fantasies. That's what we do in this industry. So I'm excited about all the cool toys.
